Day 176- Write on Desks with Sharpies

As a substitute/ future-teacher I hate those nametags that teachers stick to the desk.  At least half the class is constantly picking at them.  Dirt is always stuck in the tape.  They are just a distraction.

This pin has a solution for them.  You can write on the desks with Sharpies!  They don't rub off.  Students can't pick at them.  They aren't any type of distraction.

At the end of the year, you write over the Sharpie with an Expo marker and wipe it clean with a tissue.  Now, it's clean and ready to write the name on for next year.

You can also use rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer to remove Sharpie ink from the desks.  If you clean the desks with an alcohol-based cleaner, the Sharpie will come off, so be aware of that.

This Sharpie trick can be used on any shiny surface including laminated posters.

I love this pin and will use it when I get my own classroom.
