Putting words in alphabetical order is a pretty basic skill
that I see students struggle with all the time. I have seen junior high students not know how to
put words in alphabetical order. I was
inspired by this pin to add this activity to my sub kit.
It’s simple. My only
problem is that those cups take up a lot of room and I don’t want to lug them
around day after day, so I just put the words on paper. I cut them out, glued them to cardstock, and
laminated them.
Now, when a student is done with work early, I can hand them
those words to put in order. I also
added a popsicle stick with the activity on it to my bored jar.
